If you only fix one thing in your game this week, make it grip pressure.
Most mid-to-high handicappers grip the club like they're trying to strangle it — especially under pressure. A death grip tightens the forearms, which shortens the backswing, which steepens the downswing, which is how a lot of slices and fat shots get born.
Try this: grip the club at a 4 out of 10. Loose enough that you could have someone tug the club out of your hands with a little effort. It'll feel wrong for about five swings. Then it won't.
