Sidehill lies quietly wreck more rounds than bunkers do, mostly because most golfers ignore them and swing like the ground is flat.
Simple rule: ball above your feet, the shot flies left (for a right-hander) — so aim right to compensate. Ball below your feet, it flies right — aim left. On uphill and downhill lies, the ball tends to fly in the direction of the slope, and the effective loft changes too: uphill adds loft, downhill takes it away.
You don't need to memorize exact numbers. You just need to remember which way to lean before you swing.
