There are two kinds of golfers. The ones who get irritated when another group catches them. And the ones who step aside, wave them through, and enjoy watching someone else's round for a few minutes.

I've always liked the second group. When I first started caddying, I thought "playing through" was just etiquette. Now I think it's a philosophy.

Not every season of life is yours to lead. Sometimes your job is to recognize that someone else has momentum, and the kindest thing you can do is get out of the way.
