The Cobbler's Son Has No Shoes

How working in Advertising makes it hard to Advertise yourself.

I made it back to the grind of the corporate life. A commute. A 9-5 that bleeds into extra hours. A family that gets to enjoy the fruits of my labor. And every once in a while, on a weekend where I don’t pick up a loop for some extra cheddar, or I go out golfing with the Veteran’s Golf Association (VGA), I get to relax and take a dip in my pool.

That means this newsletter, the Caddy Trainer game I vibe coded, and the online proshop where I sell a few wares are all getting cobwebs and dust bunnies around them. Let’s not even talk about my book, “Shock and Awe, RECRUIT! (or, How I Learned The Fundamentals Of Advertising In Marine Corps Basic Training).”

The more product I move the more advertising dollars I can afford to dump back into this side-hustle. So, I’m placing a link to my proshop here…go buy some dope golf merch and from now until November 10 enjoy 10 percent off to celebrate 250 years of my beloved Marine Corps, oorah (be sure code EGA250 is entered in the promo field at checkout!)?
